Editorial policy
This page describes how SportsLook is written and maintained. It is a standard we hold ourselves to, and a description of what you can expect from any page on this site.
Sourcing
Facts come from primary sources wherever a primary source exists: governing bodies, organisers, operators and manufacturers. We link the specific source for the specific claim. We do not cite other content sites competing for the same search as evidence, and we never write "experts say" without naming the expert.
Numbers that change
Sports figures go stale. Any number that moves — a record, a price, a capacity, a squad — is published with the date or season it applies to. When we update a page we change the figure and the update date together; we do not bump a date without changing anything.
Rankings
Ranked lists state their criteria before the list starts, so you can disagree with the method rather than guess at it. See how we rank.
Corrections
Send corrections to contact@sportslook.net. Factual errors are fixed as soon as we can verify the correction, and material corrections are noted on the page.
AI and authorship
Articles are researched, written and edited by the named people on our author pages. We use software for research and drafting support the way any newsroom now does, but a named human is responsible for every published page and for its accuracy.
Advertising and affiliate links
Advertising never determines what we cover or how we rank anything. Where a link earns a commission we disclose it on that page. We do not sell links, do not accept paid guest posts, and do not publish gambling or betting content.
